Guess who will be hearing this live in Atlanta in July?

I admit, I was not very enthusiastic about Mylo Xyloto in previous T4Ts, but it has grown on me. After Viva La Vida, my expectations were high. Perhaps too high, and this new album was never going to live up to what could very well be Coldplay’s’s magnum opus. It is still better than most, and an enjoyable road trip companion.

You will love them live! Phillips is the best venue around in terms of sound. Coldplay loves Atlanta - back in the day, they were on a Family Values tour with other bands who were nothing like them and they weren't getting any love here in the States. They came here and Atlanta loved them, so they now love Atlanta. When a friend of mine first saw them here years ago, Michael Stipe joined the on stage for "Night Swimming." When I saw them two years ago, they played "The Scientist" about 10 feet from us. I was giddy, to say the least. I may have mentioned this before, but when we saw them in the fall, they played "Georgia on my Mind" acoustic before playing "Fix You." It was unreal. Wait until you hear "Paradise" live.
