My Wishlist

So somebody is turning 37 next month - not me, I am not even close to being that old. Okay, it's me.

And when Andrea asked: What is on your wish list? I had to stop and think. Because I have big wishes and little wishes, tangible wishes and wishes from the heart. And I wish I owned these because they are fabulous:

Didn't I tell you that I would be kicking myself for not buying the $60 Halogen version of these at the Anniversary Sale?

My first wish: That my kids have a bang up first grade and fifth grade.

My second: That I continue to grow in my writing for the newspaper and successfully balance my job there with raising said kids.

My third: I really want to travel with the kids. Living in suburbia, I would like them to visit all of the amazing cities out there. I also want experience Disney World with my whole family - I have been many times and the Engineer and I celebrated our first anniversary there And Big Kid and I have been when he was a toddler! But the four of us have never visited the House of Mouse together.

And if we are talking pie in the sky wishes - I wish I had an amazing backyard. It is nice and tidy, but I would love an oasis with a comfortable area for us to relax and entertain, framed by beautiful surroundings. Dare to dream.

And the most important wish is that my very first nephew makes it safely into the world one month from now. As does both of my cousins' babies who will be arriving soon after. Christmas is going to be super fun this year! I already loaded up on baby clothes for RHR this weekend - do you know how long it has been since I have stocked up on baby boy clothes? I have reestablished my love affair with tiny shoes. Why a baby need miniature loafers, I haven't a clue but he's got them now!

Thank you Andrea for the food for thought and Happy Monday!

  1. Sounds like a great list to me! I turned 36 on Saturday and I found that I didn't really have a list this year. Not sure what my problem was!
As far as miniature baby shoes go...they are definitely splurge worthy! I don't care what all the naysayers say. They are hard to pass up...practical or not.
