Five Friday Faves

Boy, do I have some faves for you today!

... one ...
The new Charlie the basset cookie jar from Pioneer Woman's new line:

My friend and neighbor Mary (IG friends will know her as the mom of #rockyhound, Fletch's BFF) and I have been coveting these since they were released a few weeks ago. I was on the email list but had struck out until she texted me yesterday and said that she was picking up hers and they had one left on the shelf! Score! Mary has the  shopping touch -- when Lilly Pulitzer came to Target, I was a total fail and the only things I found were patio lights and some nail accessories. She rolls out with a  a dress and pair of shorts for Little Kid. Thank you, Friend!

Marc with a C:

I stumbled across this at the gas station close to our house. It is almost impossible to find Marc with a C in anything! However my Marc with a C does not drink Diet Coke so double win for me!

Little Kid's pride and joy:

My kids have definitely inherited the collecting gene from me. For the past two years, she has been on a mission to find Hello Kittys -- a mission that her grandmothers both enthusiastically joined. She has used her allowance for some, a few were picked up as vacation souvenirs and Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny brought her some of the holiday-themed ones. I will admit that I probably get as excited as she does when we find a new one.

Pottery Barn Teen backpacks:

Well, we have backpacks for Big until he graduates from high school. I ordered him a college-style University of Tennessee backpack that his father was very enthusiastic about, and when they accidentally sent us two and told us to keep the extra, we decided to tuck it away for future use. Then we discovered that the UT backpack was too narrow and he could not fit all of his schoolbooks in it each day. So we went back to what we know (which was thankfully on sale with free shipping and an additional discount -- that soothed my wallet a bit) and got him the backpack above. It is still a snug fit but it does fit all of his school books. I am surprised that his school system has not gone digital like surrounding systems.

Salted Caramel Yankee Candle:

While I am overwhelmingly Meh on pumpkin spice, I love anything salted caramel. It smells so good I want to lick the side of it. I picked this up at Cracker Barrel with a birthday gift card -- thank you Aunt Linda!

Thanks for stopping by and happy weekend!

  1. What a great 5! I had no clue Walmart had the PW stuff now. Yay for 2/1 on the UT order. Have a wonderful week ahead!

  3. I love pumpkin smelling things but not so much the food. I love all the salted caramel. I thought of you when I saw the Pioneer Woman line announced and saw the cookie jar.
