Elf on the Shelf Shenanigans

It is almost go time and with Christmas upon us, Rupert the Elf has brought his A game. While not the most mischievous of elves, he does like to get into things and make his presence known.

Although with our one dog wrecking crew, Rupert wisely stays out of his reach -- way out of his reach.

Every once in awhile he will get a wild hair and redecorate.

But like I said, Rupert wisely stays pretty high up for self-preservation.

Luckily he wasn't in the tree when this happened.

Someone had forgotten to latch the gate and Fletch had free reign of the upstairs for an hour. Thankfully no presents were eaten and I had an extra light strand to replace the damaged lightbulbs.

With a dog that has gone rogue, Rupert likes to stay on the DL.

You have the right idea, bro.

A few years ago, I wrote, "My Elf on the Shelf Did Not Move & Other Elf-Related Dilemmas.". Since then about this time of the year, the post traffic picks up. If you find yourself answering the "Why didn't our elf move last night, Mom?" question, I hope it might be of help.

Only three days!

  1. I think I sent your Elf on the Shelf blog post to my brother last year. His elf kept forgetting to move, so he found it very helpful! Hopefully your Elf is reporting all good things, and for no more overturned trees. Gotta love those crazy pups! Hope you and your family has a very Merry Christmas!
