5 Faves for Friday: Snow, Skating & Sister

1. My first fave is definitely SNOW.

It is still snowing but my iPhone did not capture the flurries.

It is snowing in Alabama! Schools let out at 12:15 p.m., the Arsenal closed at 1 p.m. (luckily I was already home because my husband said it was gridlock with 41,000 people trying to leave at the same time). Now, we are all home snuggled up together -- well, except Big Kid who is at his buddy's house -- and have nothing on the agenda but a glass of wine and the Man From U.N.C.L.E. from Netflix.

2. My second fave was Little's softball-themed, skating party:

I Blogged about that yellow extravaganza on Monday.

3. A big fave this week with the cold temps have been our new faux-fur bedspread.

I wish I knew how to photoshop away dog hair. Tomorrow is vacuum day.

The Engineer's and my gift to each other for Valentine's Day is new bedding. So far the bedspread is all I have but I am hoping to have the rest by Feb. 14. Interestingly enough, it is not an easy job to coordinate pillows and shams with dark chocolate-colored faux fur.

4. Baked wheat thins with sea salt.

I would like to blame the small bag on why I ate almost all the crackers in one setting but it was probably because they taste So. Good. Must resist crackers.

5. Amazon gift card

My sister gave me an Amazon gift card for Christmas because she knows me well. I have already purchased four books including the one above that I have been looking forward to for months. It did not quite meet my expectations but probably because they were astronomically high after I read the book's prequel, Ninja at First Sight, which I loved. Still a great way to spend a cold day.

Thank you for dropping by! Happy weekend and be careful out there!
